2024 Nationwide Spirit of Strides Awards

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a celebration of courage and hope, a movement uniting communities to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.  The Spirit of  Strides awards is a celebration of YOU in recognition of your support of courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers, caregivers, and families alike.

Awards can be nominated by fellow volunteers with support from ACS staff.  The Nationwide Spirit of Strides Awards will be selected by the Nationwide American Cancer Society Fundraising Leadership Team.

There will be on nationwide winner in each nomination based category.  Nominations are due & will lock down November 8, 2024.

Event of the Year – The final Event of the Year Award should be a celebration of courage and hope, a movement uniting communities to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.  *Award Criteria – Meet or Exceed Year over Year Fundraising Growth, Represents the diversity of their community, exemplifies the Spirit of Strides.  

Team of the Year  – The team of the year Awards is nomination-based, to recognize a team that has continued to support, honor, and engage cancer survivors and their families in their community.  *Award Criteria – Meet or Exceed Year over Year Fundraising Growth, Incorporation of Mission by Team, exemplifies the Spirit of Strides in their event.  

Strider of the Year – At each event, at least one volunteer goes above and beyond to help accomplish the mission.  This award highlights a volunteer who has shown exemplary leadership during the past season.  This individual exemplifies the Spirit of Strides through mission, fundraising, communication, and leadership in the event.  *Award Criteria – Meet or Exceed Year over Year Fundraising Growth (Event Season), Impact of the ACS Mission,  exemplifies the Spirit of Strides in their communities.
