For our Peer-to-peer fundraising events, donors can now pay via Apple Pay and Venmo when donating on someone’s personal or team fundraising website pages. The FUNdraising app also now allows a participant to request a Venmo payment.

These new features will continue to enhance the already great features of our web & app experiences, include sharing personal pages, accepting payment via check & credit card in app & requesting a donation in App for PayPal, Google Pay & Apple Pay.

FAQs

• Which payment methods are accepted?
  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
• Where is Apple Pay and Venmo on Fundraising Websites?
  • On the website experience, Apple Pay and Venmo are only available to donors on a fundraiser’s personal and team pages. Currently, Apple Pay and Venmo are not available on the general donation form, registration, or tributes/luminaria. We’ll be working to add more payment options to these experiences in 2025.
• Can a donor start a donation through the Venmo app?
  • No, donors must start the donation on an individual’s fundraising page or a team’s personal page.
• Can you make a Venmo Payment on desktop?
  • If a donor selects Venmo on a desktop computer, a QR Code will open for them to scan and complete the transaction in the Venmo app.
• Can donors access Apple Pay on an Android phone or PC computer?
  • Apple Pay is only available on Apple iOS devices.
• Can a donor update their payment method on the express donation form?
  • Yes, if the donor decides they would rather pay through another option, they can update the payment method simply by selecting the payment type.
• What if a donor needs a refund?
  • Please contact us within 30 days from the date of your donation if you identify an error in the amount of payment or to report unauthorized use of your credit or debit card. We are available to assist you at 1-800-227-2345.
• Donor can’t complete a Venmo donation when the link is selected on the Facebook mobile app. 
  • The donor can select the more option (three dots in the top right of their device) and select open in external browser. They can also copy and paste the link into another browser. This is due to limitations with Meta.
